Project

Terman Engineering Center

Project Description
Location
Stanford University, Palo Alto, California

This 150,000 square foot structure is five stories in height. One building a concrete library, the other a five-story, wood-frame structure. With the novel method of pre-assembling each five story bent on the ground and then lifting it into place, it was possible to present the client with the full facility desired and still build it within budget. This structure has been noted by the ASCE as one of the classic wood structures in the United States.
