Four-story, 65,000 square foot day health care, medical clinic and housing project for senior citizens. Included seismic rehabilitation of complete renovation of steel frame and concrete structure. Total Project Cost: $9 million.

The Sequoias Skilled Nursing Facility, San Francisco, CA
This project consisted of alterations to Level A; a new elevator; corridor upgrade; atrium, redesign of grade beams; CMU wall at stairs and alterations to new Building.

Los Medanos Health Center, Pittsburg, CA
Another project consisting of various components such as the Psychiatric Ward; new audio booth; new x-ray equipment and work on equipment room 1083, drawings and review necessary for installation of a chain link fence enclosure over to existing roof to level the floor.

Irwin Memorial Blood Bank, San Francisco, CA
This project was a seismic rehabilitation of a two-story reinforced concrete structure, installation of new concrete shear walls and the addition of a second floor.

Atascadero State Hospital Wards Addition, Atascadero, CA
New multipurpose building at existing mental health hospital facility; 43,000 square foot, steel frame and concrete block structure. Total Project Cost: $6 million.

Atascadero State Hospital, Atascadero, CA
32,000 square foot addition to existing mental health facility; concrete/ concrete block. Total Project Cost: $4.5 million.

South Valley Intercommunity Hospital, Gilroy, CA
This project was for a $12 Million, 98,000 square foot, structural-steel hospital.

Kaiser Hospital, Richmond, CA
New acute care hospital; 3-story, 75,000 square foot, steel frame structure. Total Project Cost was $25 million

Children's Hospital Renovation, San Francisco, CA
This project was the total renovation of Children's Hospital, currently known as the California Campus of the California Pacific Medical Center. The work consisted of removing several wings, seismically upgrading and modifying for current standards. The approximate square footage was 100,000 square feet.

St. Francis Hospital, San Francisco, CA.
Addition of 1-story concrete shear wall building designed with provisions for future addition of 5 more stories; floor system consisted of pan-joist with reinforced concrete columns. There was also an installation of a new Phillips' MRI scanner in the existing ground floor level and new mechanical units on the third floor roof and duct penetrations at the second floor.

Children's Hospital Addition, Oakland, CA
Three-story addition consisting of approximately 10,000 square feet, utilizing reinforced concrete and wood-frame construction. Estimated construction cost of $1,000,000.

San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco, CA
This project consisted of additions to Building 1 at the southeast corner of Potrero and 22nd Streets. The building is three stories tall and is connected to three, two-story wings to the south.

UCSF Medical Center/UC Hospital, 4th Floor Lab,

Structural calculations and details for mechanical equipment on the roof of the existing USCS Hospital for the ENT Lab.

Design of corridor connection between the Health Science Building and adjacent structure; installation of numerous floor drains; support for movable partition; assist in design of ceiling eyebrow, grid and support system; also a cooling tower pad installation outside of building.

UCSF Adult Pulmonary Laboratory, 13th Floor, Moffitt Hospital

Work on this facility consisted mainly of minor additions: new freestanding wall; new accordion door; new wall-mounted casework; new door opening in existing walls.

This project was the infill of an existing inner courtyard, which consisted of two occupied levels plus a roof. The design solution was structural steel with metal deck and concrete floors.

This 75,000 square foot school for the State of California was valued at $16,000,000.

Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Santa Teresa, CA
Installation of ADAC equipment; investigation of existing seismic restraints for non-structural components, and review of proposed connections for bracing of existing oxygen and vacuum lines and fire sprinkler pipes.

Pine Larkin Senior Housing, San Francisco, CA
This senior housing project is a four-story, light steel frame and truss building installed on a concrete post-tensioned transfer slab, placed on top of an existing two-story post office. Total square footage - 50,000 square feet.

Palo Alto, CA
This work included structural support for ceiling-hung, wall-mounted and floor-mounted equipment, as well as the addition of a new air-handling unit in the interstitial space above the Animal Cath Angio Lab.

This project included the construction of three new Phillips Cath Angio suits in the existing Stanford University Medical Center, and structural support for ceiling-hung and floor-mounted cath angio equipment.

This project included numerous steps regarding support and accommodation of a new MRT unit: new footing for support; new slab-on-grade in MRT room and support spaced; underground trench for new medical gas piping; new mechanical unit on the existing roof; new openings for duct work and anchorage details for mechanical equipment.

Stanford University, Gates Science Building, Palo Alto, CA
Five-story, steel frame structure designed to serve as a faculty office building, research and teaching facility. Estimated construction cost $24 Million.

St. Mary's Hospital, San Francisco, CA
This project included the installation of a Siemens C-arm and corresponding equipment; relocation of existing OR light; installation of ceiling-hung monitors, conduit, cable support and bracing, wall-mounting cabinets and new walls and ceiling at C-arm room.

Becton-Dickinson Laboratory/Office, San Jose, CA
Renovation and addition to a 320,000 square foot facility for new laboratory, manufacturing and office use. Addition totaled 60,000 square feet, including new mezzanine, in seismically upgraded warehouse space for laboratory use. Steel frame structure with concrete fill over metal deck at the elevated floor level. Total cost of $20 million; completed 1990.
